Titanium Labret
Titanium - Labret with internal Thread + 925 Silver Attachment Moissanite
This unique labret is made of high quality titanium. Only the screw-in attachment with external thread consists, except for the moissanite, of 925 silver instead. In addition to their excellent quality, both materials feature other useful properties such as particularly good skin compatibility and low weight. Depending on the color desired, the surface of the attachment is either plated with 18 carat yellow gold or rhodium-plated, while the labret is covered with a PVD coating. The moissanite gives the piece of jewellery its extraordinary, diamond-like shine. The labret has a bar thickness of either 1 or 1.2 mm and is available with the bar lengths listed below. Furthermore, its 0.9 mm internal thread can be combined at will with all of our other screw-in attachments with this kind of external thread.
Moissanite is a mineral that rarely occurs in nature and is usually produced in the laboratory. As it resembles a diamond in many ways and at the same time has extraordinary characteristics, moissanite is also known as “imitation diamond”. The difference between the two minerals is that a diamond consists of hard-pressed carbon, whereas a moissanite is composed of silicon carbide. On the Mohs scale of hardness for gemstones, moissanite has a very high value of 9.25, which can be attributed to its resistance and very hard structure.
