Except for the moissanites, this precious circular barbell is made
entirely of high quality 18 carat (750) yellow gold, which
in addition to its excellent quality also knows how to impress with properties
such as good skin compatibility and high durability. The moissanite gives the piece of jewellery its extraordinary, diamond-like shine. Each and every one of our gold items is handcrafted with great attention to detail, making it one of a kind. As a special highlight, this piece of jewelry is decorated with sparkling moissanites with settings on the front side, giving it a unique brilliance.
The circular barbell is available with a bar thickness of 1.2 mm and an inner diameter of either 8 or 10 mm.
Moissanite is a mineral that rarely occurs in nature and is usually produced in the laboratory. As it resembles a diamond in many ways and at the same time has extraordinary characteristics, moissanite is also known as “imitation diamond”. The difference between the two minerals is that a diamond consists of hard-pressed carbon, whereas a moissanite is composed of silicon carbide. On the Moh's scale of hardness for gemstones, moissanite has a very high value of 9.25, which can be attributed to its resistance and very hard structure.
